The Half of Me Series by Diana T. Scott Blog Tour | REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

Hello, everyone! Today is a very exciting day because the blog tour for one of my favourite book series finally starts! Hope you guys enjoy my review for the third book, COLOR ME YOURS & do not forget to check out the giveaway!

What happens if you wake up one morning and you don’t recognize the person staring back at you in the mirror? When you throw yourself into a relationship so deeply, it swallows you whole and spits you out a totally different person? A person you don’t particularly like… For Paige, it takes ten minutes to decide she needs to go back to Chicago, the first place she ever called home and the last she felt like herself in. The place where she’ll find a purpose and friends she never knew she needed.
But what if her best friend starts to see her before she sees herself? Can she trust him to search between scattered pieces and handpick the ones that belong only to her?

♡ ♡  ♡ My thoughts ♡ ♡ ♡

There are books that no matter how long or how good they are, you cannot get enough of them. This is pretty much my case with the ”Half of Me” series because every time I finish one of Diana’s books, I am left with a heartache. And once again, I am at a loss of words when it comes to write a review that aims to encompass its awesomeness.

As expected, she worked her magic on her new novel, this time giving us the opportunity to fell in love with Miles and Paige’s story. These two were so much fun to discover, both of them are complex characters with amazing personalities and a great ability to make me want to scratch my face every time they are too stubborn to admit their feelings. But Holy Moly, how much did I love them! After only a few pages in the book, they quickly became my favourite couple from the three.

Miles was my guilty pleasure in this book (and I am not ashamed to admit it!), because even though I liked him in ”Our Demons, Best Friends” and ”Love Me While I’m Gone”, I couldn’t get enough of his cuteness in this book. The things he did for Paige and his kindness towards the people who surrounded him were incredible. And no, even with his good looks and devotion, he is not one of those alpha males from the majority of contemporary books that are being published nowadays. Diana created a real man, with qualities and flaws, that is going to steal every female reader’s heart. I haven’t forgotten about Sebastian and Collin, but Miles is my kind of boy *wink*

Unlike the other two books previously published in the series, ”Color Me Yours” is a little bit longer and the story is more complex than the others. There is a surprise character in this book, one that can be seen as an obstacle for Paige and Miles, but honestly, for me, she represented the reason why their bond became unbreakable in the end. I really liked her and I am really sad that her future wasn’t as bright as she deserved.

Another reason why I absolutely loved CMY is the fact that I managed to identify more with the main female character, Paige. While I was reading about her, I almost thought I read stuff about myself. To be honest, it is the first time something like this happens, but I am really happy because in this way I understood her choices better. There were a few times when she got on my nerves, but she made it up to me in one chapter, when she (FINALLY!) took the initiative with Miles. In that moment I almost jumped out of bed and screamed YES!

The ending was everything I could have ever wanted because it brought together all my favourite couples and I was so stoked to see them happy and having fun. I do not know about you, but almost every time I finish a new book and I get attached to the characters, I think about their happy lives after the novel has ended. Thanks to the author I reassured myself that they are going strong.

Undoubtedly, Diana’s books always bring a big smile to my face and I seriously cannot wait to read the next one in this series. She is definitely the queen of swoon worthy & crazy cute moments! Her books deserve all the love they can get from readers and therefore I will always highly recommend them. By the way, there is no insta love phenomenon here, guys, so if you like to stay away from that, this is your type of book!

I am a colorful mix of the things I love. Chocolate eclairs. The sound of a guitar. The first snow of the year. Sleeping on freshly washed sheets. The smell of a new book. Man buns. Using rock-paper-scissors to settle an argument. Old, washed up jeans. Comfort food. Old people acting like kids. The ocean. My dog. My family.
